Exit Strategy — Martha Wells
So far my favorite book of The Murderbot Diaries. For me, it mastered balancing all the elements I’ve grown to love in the series, with—in my opinion—just the right amount of Murderbot, worldbuilding (all Murderbot’s explanations for things just feel so natural and convincing), character voice, and bafflement at human behavior.
I was a little heartbroken to find out this was the last novella in the series. I’ve got the next book lined up, but I don’t know if I want to read it just yet. I think I’ll let Murderbot have space in my cold, black heart for a little longer.
